Provider status

Overview

At Automised Energy, our mission is to become Australia's defacto home energy monitoring and advisory service, providing personalised insights to keep you on top of your energy decisions. To do this effectively, we maintain connections with electricity providers across Australia through the secure government-backed Consumer Data Right (CDR).

This article gives you a quick understanding of which providers we currently support, which ones we don't, and any known issues that might affect your experience.

What This Means For You

If Your Provider Is Supported

When your provider is supported, we can automatically collect your energy data and perform a plan assessment every month. This allows us to match you with the best-fit plan for your specific usage patterns and needs. You'll receive a monthly report with guidance based on this assessment.

If Your Provider Has Data Quality Issues

Providers marked with "Major data quality issues" (❌) or "Minor data quality issues" (⚠️) are still supported, but you might experience some errors or inconsistencies in your data. This could affect:

  • The calculation of potential savings
  • The completeness of your billing information

We still collect fresh data and perform plan assessments, but please be aware that recommendations might not be as precise as with other providers.

If Your Provider Is Not Supported

If your provider is not supported, you won't be able to use our automated plan matching service for your account. This can happen for two main reasons:

  1. CDR Exemption: Providers can received temporary exemptions from the Consumer Data Right obligations until a specific date.
  2. Small Size Exemption: Providers with fewer than 10,000 customers are exempt from participating in the CDR scheme. They can voluntarily participate, though.

Unfortunately, we do not offer alternative methods for connecting your account if your provider doesn't participate in the Consumer Data Right. If you'd like to use our service, we encourage you to contact your provider directly and request that they participate in the CDR scheme.

Provider Status Updates

We regularly update this list as:

  • New providers join the CDR scheme
  • Existing providers resolve data quality issues
  • Exemptions expire

Our commitment to trust and accuracy means we'll keep this information current, so you always know what to expect from our service.
