My provider is not in the list

At Automised Energy, we connect to providers through the secure Consumer Data Right (CDR) framework to access your energy data automatically and accurately. However, not all providers are currently available for linking in our system.

Under Australian CDR legislation, only energy retailers with more than 10,000 customers are required to participate in data sharing. This covers approximately 98% of residential consumers. Even among these larger retailers, some may not appear in our list for the following reasons:

  • They've been granted a temporary exemption by the ACCC
  • They're currently non-compliant with their CDR obligations

See the current status of retailer at our other article, here: https://help.automised.energy/article/29-provider-status

You can check the current exemptions on the ACCC's Consumer Data Right Exemptions Register. Information about non-compliant providers can be found on the CDR Rectification Schedule.

What You Can Do

If your provider isn't available for linking:

  1. Contact them directly to express your interest in sharing your data with Automised Energy through the CDR framework
  2. Ask them for their timeline for CDR implementation
  3. Let them know this functionality is important to you for finding your best-fit energy plan

We're continuously updating our provider connections as more retailers become CDR-compliant, ensuring our service remains smart, independent and personalised for all Australian energy customers.
